Hank's Engineering is a specialist motorcycle engineering showroom and workshop, which has been established in Cairns since 1993.

We specialise in precision engineering services for motorcycle enthusiasts, local motorcycle businesses, and the bicycle industry, along with general engineering for "difficult" jobs. Vintage and modern motorcycle restoration and performance modifications are the mainstay of the business.

I am the proprietor and head machinist, a qualified Fitter and Turner and have been involved with motorcycles and motorcycling for over 30 years.

• Restoration welding of cast iron cylinder head fins

1982 Moto Guzzi V50 Monza

• Fully remanufactured to exceed factory quality
• Ducati front end conversion
• Dellorto 32mm conversion - starter motor inverted to clear carburettors

1979 Yamaha XT 500

• Replaced front suspension/wheels/brakes
• Replace swingarm with LC350 swingarm and shock absorber
• Modified rear frame
• Aiming for 100 kg with no fuel

1976 Kawasaki Z1000

• Replaced front suspension/wheels/brakes
• Replaced rear swingarm/wheels/brakes
• Rebuild engine and fit with Mikuni smooth bore carburettors
• Fournales suspension
